The research direction is adhesives, which is relatively niche. It cannot be published in a first-tier or even a second-tier journal, so I decided to submit it to this well-established journal in the field. I only knew that it might be slow, but since I don't need the article in the short term, I submitted it. However, I only realized after submitting that it is indeed very slow:

I submitted it on January 3, 2023, and it took over two months until March 13 for it to be assigned to an editor. As of April 13, it is still under review.

Submitting to this journal requires reserving half a year to a year for the publication process.
