Hello, I submitted my work in January of 25 and it was revised in March of 26. Until now, I still haven't heard anything about the second review. I really doubt what this editor is doing. It has been 18 months already.

QT brother, I submitted my manuscript in September last year, and it took three months for the first review. The second review has been ongoing since the end of January and there is still no news. The time in between largely depends on the speed of the reviewers. Good luck to you.

Editor assignment pending. Time has changed, any comments?

I submitted on June 3rd and have been waiting for the assignment of an editor. On June 22nd, I sent a follow-up email to the editorial assistant of this journal, marykimberlyanne.campos@springernature.com. On June 23rd, the editorial assistant replied saying that the processing speed depends on the availability of reviewers and editors to make a decision. It wasn't until July 6th that my submission officially entered the "Under Review" status. It has been two weeks now and there has been no change. I still cannot see the status of the reviewers. The official website only shows "Under Review" and I am unsure of what the next status will be. If it takes so long and the submission ends up being rejected after two or three months, it will be very frustrating. I am already in my third year of graduate studies, so it will be troublesome if that happens.

I submitted on May 27th, and it still shows Editor Assignment Pending. I've followed up once, but the response was that the editor is still looking for reviewers. Jidian123, have you tried to follow up on the submission five times and still received no response? I have tried several times but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears, and the second round of review has been pending for five months.

I have submitted one article in 24 years, submitted in August, revised in October, and pending the rest of the time. I have urged for submission 5 times, until the last reminder in June of the following year, stating that if further delays were needed, I wanted to withdraw the submission. The editor then directly accepted it. The journal takes a long time for major revisions and remains pending, while minor revisions are processed quickly. Most of the time is wasted in the hands of the editors.
