The efficiency of the editor-in-chief of this journal is very high. It took more than two months from submission to acceptance, and I feel quite lucky.

Completely disagree, my submission time is the same as the author's, but the editor has been under review for several months, only one reviewer accepted the review, sent many reminders, but there was no response, this journal gives people a feeling of half-dead. Yes, this journal editor will first make their own judgment before sending it for review, either directly rejecting the submission (which I have never experienced), or directly providing major revisions and their own judgment for you to make modifications. After the editor believes there are no major flaws, they will then send it for external review. At least, this has been my experience with all three of my current submissions.

I want to ask about this submission, what does it mean when the editor asks for major revisions on the same day? Major revisions without even sending it for review first? I don't really understand it!!!

The second part: The total cycle is close to three months, the review is fast, mainly self-modified for a month.
Submitted on 17th July 2025, the editor provided major revisions on the same day;
Returned for modifications on 20th July 2025, editor sent for review on the same day, under review;
On 17th August 2025, three reviewers returned their comments, editor made major revisions on the same day, first review lasted for 30 days;
Returned for major revisions on 20th September 2025, I spent a month on self-revisions, editor sent for review on the same day;
On 12th October 2025, all three reviewers returned their comments on the same day, and it was accepted!

The third part: Still in progress, one of the reviewers still has procrastination haha.
Submitted on 3rd November 2025, editor conducted initial review on the same day, major revisions needed;
Returned with major revisions on 5th November 2025, under review on the same day;
On 28th December 2025, the first two reviewers returned their comments within 20 days, the third reviewer took over 50 days, editor provided major revisions on the same day the third reviewer returned comments;
Returned for revisions on 3rd January 2026, under review the next day;
On 18th January 2026, the first two reviewers returned their comments quickly, still waiting for the third reviewer haha.

I have discovered a pattern in this journal, with the overall process speed consistently at 3 months. The characteristics of this journal are: (the editing efficiency is very high, all handled on the same day, I am especially grateful!!!) After submission, the editor will quickly provide major revisions and initial screening content; after resubmission, it will be sent for review by three reviewers (there is always one who delays, with the longest waiting time being around 60 days), and after revisions, it will be sent for review again and await the opinions of three reviewers, basically resulting in acceptance.

The first article: [The entire cycle is a little over three months, with the main review time]
March 6, 2025: Submission, major revisions provided by the editor on the same day;
March 12, 2025: Resubmission after revisions, editorial decision made on the same day, first two reviewers take a month, while the third reviewer does not provide feedback;
May 13, 2025: Feedback from the third reviewer received, requiring major revisions;
May 28, 2025: Resubmission after revisions, editorial decision made on the same day;
June 28, 2025: Acceptance received on the same day as feedback from the third reviewer.

感觉非常差，投稿7个月，一审二审审稿人审稿都非常不积极，但是又接受审稿，拖延返回意见非常常见。浪费非常多时间，给人感觉整个期刊都是死气沉沉的，个人觉得期刊除非大改风气，不然会越来越差。感觉就是没人管事这种。

It has been more than 20 days since I applied for RRC, I have contacted customer service to urge them, but still no response.

First-instance review took 30 days, second-instance review took 30 days, and the reason was that one reviewer rejected it from the first instance, and still rejected it in the second instance. Then the editor found two new reviewers, one for minor revisions and one for major revisions. Finally, the third review came back on November 12, 2025, with minor revisions due on November 15, 2025, and now it's with the editor. Since October 2nd, it has already been revised three times, with major revisions, major revisions, and minor revisions. Looking forward to good news.
