I found this journal really messing with people's minds. It's been almost a year with 5 rounds of review and still no acceptance. The latest round of revisions from the editor included 7 notes, asking me to check for plagiarism and remove references added by the reviewers. However, in the latest round, one reviewer asked me to add references (which I find ridiculous, as the same reviewer in previous rounds did not allow me to add references). I resubmitted with the added references, but the editor immediately rejected it and asked me to remove the references. I had no choice but to comply, otherwise I wouldn't move forward in the process. I thought they would just accept it by now, but they actually sent it for another round of review. And to make matters worse, it was sent back to the same reviewer. This is just insane!
