Compared to Food Chemistry, I personally feel that JAFC has a higher publication difficulty, and also higher requirements for innovation and language. During the process, three reviewers provided over twenty comments, giving a month for revisions. Just two weeks after the deadline, the editor sent an email urging for the revised manuscript. After the revisions were made, it was not sent for review again, but remained with the editor for a month before a decision was made. The journal now has very strict requirements for manuscript formatting, with the supporting information being revised twice due to format issues. I am grateful to editor Aaron Gross for his support.
