Just received a response for my submission. Honestly, this journal is pretty good except for its low impact factor. It's still very popular (it's in the same tier as the big names like Cell, NAR, and Cell Reports within our school). However, I have to complain about the slow submission process. It mainly gets stuck at the external review stage. I submitted on January 11th and it was sent for external review on February 6th. But once it reaches the editor, I usually get a response within 5 working days.
