Around 7.20 submitted; received the results on 9.2, with two minor revisions, returned on 9.10, and it's still in the hands of the editor as of today, 9.28... Not sure if it's because the JCR processing speed has always been slow, or if they are just being cautious and looking for another reviewer. Can any experienced experts provide some insight? If it is targeted drug delivery, it requires novelty in chemical synthesis, innovation in responsive release, a high demand for clinical disease treatment, and novelty in disease models. Achieving these aspects will lead to rapid acceptance. Otherwise, like my article, it will be slow and difficult to find reviewers.

Record the experience of submitting a paper! The submission to Science Advances was rejected, and the editor recommended submitting to JCR. On May 12, 2024, the paper was submitted to the journal, with the editor assigned on May 20. On May 28, the paper was under review, with 2 reviews completed. 3 review invitations were accepted and 3+ review invitations were sent. This status lasted for one month before the review was completed on June 20. A revision was submitted on July 20 and reviews were completed on August 10, with 1 review invitation accepted and 2 review invitations sent (PS During the major revision, there were 3 reviewers, 1 acceptance, and 2 modifications). On September 14, there was a reminder for some new reviews for COREL-D-24-01810R1 in "Peer review status", and I recommended additional reviewers. The paper was accepted on September 15.
