Around 7.20 submitted; received the results on 9.2, with two minor revisions, returned on 9.10, and it's still in the hands of the editor as of today, 9.28... Not sure if it's because the JCR processing speed has always been slow, or if they are just being cautious and looking for another reviewer. Can any experienced experts provide some insight? If it is targeted drug delivery, it requires novelty in chemical synthesis, innovation in responsive release, a high demand for clinical disease treatment, and novelty in disease models. Achieving these aspects will lead to rapid acceptance. Otherwise, like my article, it will be slow and difficult to find reviewers.
