My current understanding is that the Chinese Academy of Sciences classifies journals based on the JCR report. Since the new journal has not yet received an impact factor, it cannot be included in the JCR, so it does not have a classification from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. When the new journal receives an impact factor the following year, the old journal names will also be removed. Originally named Journal of Digital Imaging, it was renamed Journal of Imaging Informatics in Medicine after 24 years. According to the rules of Clarivate, the journal did not inherit the impact factor of the original journal after the name change, so the new journal is listed in SCI but cannot be searched in JCR. The rules of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for new journals cannot be found, and we will have to wait for the new year's zone results.
