Carbon Capture Science & Technology (CCST) is a gold open access journal for the publication of cutting-edge high-impact research covering all aspects of carbon capture. It is an Official Publication of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.

The journal welcomes contributions from engineers, chemists, economists, biologists, environmental and social scientists alike. Papers which report significant progress at the interface between these disciplines are particularly encouraged.

CCST publishes original research papers, review papers, perspectives, and short communications. Topics which will be considered for publication by CCST include, but are not limited to the following:

CCST offers rapid review and publication. Initial editorial decisions are normally made within 3 days while the first editorial decision after peer review is normally made within 4 weeks. The journal aims to provide a first decision with reviewer comments within four weeks of submission. First publication decision, for papers that are not within the journal’s scope, is made within three days of submission.

Delivered on June 26th
Reviewed on June 27th, invited 7 reviewers, but only 2 accepted, the review process took nearly 2 months
On August 30th, received the first round of comments, both comments were positive
On September 21st, revised manuscript resubmitted and sent for review on the same day, Chunfei Wu is really proactive
Received on September 25th.
Overall, the speed of review depends on the selection of reviewers, which cannot be controlled, but the journal's processing speed is very fast.
IJGGC is dead, CCST as a new generation authoritative journal in the field of CO2 capture and utilization, has advantages in both quality and activity. The editorial board is very commendable, Chunfei Wu is very active, various conferences and activities in recent years have made CCST very well-known in the CCUS field, looking forward to the journal's impact factor increasing year after year, and hoping for further development of the journal.

If it is not included in the Chinese Academy of Sciences' partition, does that mean the school does not recognize it? Because the school requires filling out in the system, and one of the options is to indicate which partition it belongs to.

I don't know if this journal will be included in the Chinese Academy of Sciences' zone at the end of the year. Many domestic journals can be included. The quality of this journal is good, and it is a very promising emerging journal in the field of CO2 capture and utilization. I hope the Chinese Academy of Sciences will treat it well.
