It has been more than 4 months in this status, and I can't see any progress in the middle of the process. It is also inconvenient to rush the submission because I can't directly send emails to the editorial department on the website. During this period, multiple email communications, replies are all template excuses, no substantive progress. Other submissions in the same journal on LetPub show much faster handling speed, indicating abnormal delay in processing and lack of transparency in the process.
Recommendations:
Don't wait, be proactive in following up. If it has been over three months, send emails every 1-2 weeks to confirm "Have reviewers been contacted? Has it been sent for review?"
If there are two consecutive template replies, escalate the tone, clearly express urgency
If it has not been sent for review within 4 months, withdraw the submission and submit elsewhere, can't wait for graduation, the field of robotics is developing rapidly, can't afford to wait.
