1. JFB's requirements are high, especially in terms of language polishing proof, biological welfare, and animal ethics.
2. There will be two rounds of reviewing, with 2-3 reviewers in the first round. Recommended reviewers may be assigned for reviewing (you know what I mean!).
3. The second round of reviewing will have a shorter time frame.
4. An assistant editor will handle your manuscript, and it seems that the editor-in-chief will not be involved.

Submission success rate: 25.0 Experience sharing: Submitted for three whole months, and was finally rejected. However, receiving the review comments, I couldn't help but feel the huge gap between people. Two experts reviewed very seriously, each comment was very constructive. What moved me the most was that they said my grammar was not good, and they specially changed my entire abstract as an example! They also detailed other grammar and detail errors. 7 pages of review comments. Although it was rejected, both experts and editors said that I could resubmit, with a responsible attitude. If you don't have the mentality of "either hit or miss," you can give it a shot. Hehe, I am currently making changes and preparing to submit to another journal with slightly lower requirements, but I am confident!
