I was hired at the end of March 2026, and as of May 7th, I still have not received any proof. I'm not sure if this is normal or not, and I'm wondering if the situation is the same as when I published in this journal before.

A very long submission process. From preparing at the end of 2024, to a year of back and forth in 2025, with rejections and re-submissions. Fortunately, the editor suggested revisions after rejecting the submission. 

So on March 19, 2026, with the same manuscript number, it was quickly processed by the editor;

There were follow-ups, two replies were written, a lot was said, and finally they agreed. However, now JMST/JMSA/ship and offshore structures have all been elevated to level three, so there is no need to invest in this anymore.

The editor is quite responsible, and the paper is resubmitted for review every half month while under review, probably because it is difficult to find reviewers. The first round of reviews is given after two months, with a total of two reviewers. However, these reviewers are neither junior nor senior colleagues, and they raise numerous strange and difficult questions, making it challenging to respond. The review process for a Tier 3 journal feels even stricter than for an Open Access journal, as the reviewers' comments cannot be changed, leaving the fate of the paper uncertain.

Can anyone share how this journal is? Review speed, publication cycle, etc., and also complain a bit, how come the official website linked is JMST's?
