The objective of the Journal of Nanoparticle Research is to disseminate knowledge of the physical, chemical and biological phenomena and processes in structures that have at least one lengthscale ranging from molecular to approximately 100 nm (or submicron in some situations), and exhibit improved and novel properties that are a direct result of their small size.

Nanoparticle research is a key component of nanoscience, nanoengineering and nanotechnology.

The focus of the Journal is on the specific concepts, properties, phenomena, and processes related to particles, tubes, layers, macromolecules, clusters and other finite structures of the nanoscale size range. Synthesis, assembly, transport, reactivity, and stability of such structures are considered. Development of in-situ and ex-situ instrumentation for characterization of nanoparticles and their interfaces should be based on new principles for probing properties and phenomena not well understood at the nanometer scale. Modeling and simulation may include atom-based quantum mechanics; molecular dynamics; single-particle, multi-body and continuum based models; fractals; other methods suitable for modeling particle synthesis, assembling and interaction processes. Realization and application of systems, structures and devices with novel functions obtained via precursor nanoparticles is emphasized. Approaches may include gas-, liquid-, solid-, and vacuum-based processes, size reduction, chemical- and bio-self assembly. Contributions include utilization of nanoparticle systems for enhancing a phenomenon or process and particle assembling into hierarchical structures, as well as formulation and the administration of drugs. Synergistic approaches originating from different disciplines and technologies, and interaction between the research providers and users in this field, are encouraged.

Nanomaterials

Submitted on June 9, 2021. There was a change in status after about four or five days, indicating that it had been sent for review.

Major revision on July 5, 2021. Two reviewers provided a total of around 10 questions.

Revised manuscript submitted on August 4, 2021. It took almost half a month to come up with a modification plan due to the need for explanations of mechanisms and additional data. It then took over a week to complete the revisions.

Accepted on August 18, 2021.

Overall, the entire process took about two and a half months. Each stage, from submission to editorial handling, took about four or five days. The time from submission to revision was around 20 days. The revision process was relatively slow, taking about a month. Generally speaking, it was considered relatively fast.

Submitted on June 23 and reviewer comments returned on August 12. A major revision was required. There were two reviewers, and two months for revision was given. It was delayed due to some other things, and we returned it till September 17. Due to the change of the author's order, we received an email on October 19th, requesting to fill in a statement to change the author. Then it was resubmitted. Review comments returned on October 19th, requiring minor revisions, which are all minor issues. It then was returned after finishing the revisions on the same day. Accepted on October 30.

It seems that the journal’s review speed is slow after checking the comments, but I don’t know why it was so fast this time. It should have a lot to do with the assigned reviewers. The manuscript was submitted on February 21 and sent for review soon. The major revision was notified on April 9, and the revised submission was returned on April 24. Due to the addition of a new author, I received an email on April 26, requesting to fill in a change of author statement. Returned on April 28 and accepted on May 4.

Indeed, it is slower than other journals. The review period for reviewers is two months. It was given to Xiao Xiu, and it was acceptd in three weeks or so. It was less than four months in total, and the caution of the article was urgent.

has selectd a little more than a month. The four reviewers are all revised, although the quality of the article is not high.However, reviewers are mostly small questions such as citations.After a week of modification, return to go directly after 11 days of accept.Personally, the efficiency is still quite high.

1月30# submission, 2 reviewers, comments in mid-April, overhaul (supplement) spent more than a month, uploading revisions in mid-MayThe manuscript was reviewed for another month and accepted on June 24.I haven't been online yet. I don't know when I can download the online version of the article.
