Very slow, mainly because the editing process is slow, which may be related to the large number of submissions. A clinical cross-sectional study took a whole year from submission to publication, with major revisions once and minor revisions once. The comments from the peer reviewers were moderately helpful, with some nitpicking. Those not in a hurry to publish can submit, and they can also avoid paying open access fees, but they will have to wait another year to be published.

The editor notified to modify several places after 30 days of submission. After modification, 40 days later, the notification was sent for review (the system will update the submission time to the current submission time). External review takes 4.5 months (3.5 months for reviewers, 1 month for editors to make decisions) and the author is notified to revise. After Revision 1 is submitted, the editor will notify to send for external review after 1 month. Currently, the external review has been ongoing for 2.5 months.

This magazine is so slow, it has been over 8 months since submission and two rounds of revisions. Every step is slow, the editing process is slow, the external review is slow, and it has been 20 days since the second round of revisions was sent back to the editor, but it hasn't been sent for review yet. Moreover, the quality of external review is average, some reviewers seem to be either too serious or not specialized in nephrology, and the questions they raise are really not worth mentioning. In short, unless you have plenty of time or the quality of the article is not high, I really don't recommend submitting to this magazine. It's slow with low acceptance rate, a waste of time.
