The first trial directly consumed 11 months for me, with one revision in between, a minor one. The second trial also took more than half a year. The whole process took 23 months, and I was about to collapse.

After one month of review, the paper was finally sent to the editor, but then there was no progress for seven months. During this period, two withdrawal emails were sent, but only received generic responses. Then the journal started the review process, and it took over two months to receive the feedback. The whole process took more than a year, causing great frustration. I can't wait to be rejected, never have I been so eager for a rejection.
