Recently submitted a first-principles paper. The speed and efficiency of the submission process were actually pretty good, with the following status:
- Submitted on August 1st
- Received reviewer comments on August 26th, requiring major revisions, more like a complete overhaul
- Revised version submitted on August 29th
The review process this time felt really unfair, like being set up. The first reviewer had 30 comments, which, if all addressed, would require rewriting three or four more papers, which is extremely unreasonable. The third reviewer had 12 comments, all very insightful theoretical questions, but unfortunately beyond the authors' theoretical knowledge framework, making them impossible to resolve. In the end, only changes that could be made were made, and the paper was resubmitted within three days to avoid wasting more time.
