The journal in the field of small structures is very professional and highly recognized in some geoscience universities and research institutes. Publishing an article in the fields of geophysics and microstructures requires solid research, but the difficulty of submission and review by the Chinese Academy of Sciences is not well matched. The journal has a very slow processing speed, averaging over six months. My previous article took over seven months from submission to receiving reviewer comments, and the reviewers were experts in the industry, providing insightful and professional feedback. Despite being a minor revision, I diligently made corrections for a month before resubmitting, and it was finally accepted for publication. I hope the journal will soon return to a matching section.

It went through one round of review, taking 3 and a half months, mainly due to difficulty in finding reviewers. However, the chief editor was very friendly. Still, I am unsure about the impact factor of this journal, as I noticed that there are not many Chinese authors publishing in this journal.

The manuscript was sent for review one month after submission, and the review comments was returned 4 months later. Three review experts have very professional opinions, two of whom required minor revisions, and one major revision. The editor-in-chief requested a moderate revision. One expert even helped polishing the language. After two weeks of revision, we waited for another month and it was accepted directly. A very good journal.

The review cycle after submission was a bit long; the manuscript was submitted in early March and it was accepted at the end of October. A minor revision was made during the period, and the overall feeling was good.
