Why do you only have 1 reviewer? I had 4 reviewers, all experts in a niche field, and the feedback they provided was very professional. It took me 9 months of revisions, major and minor, before finally being accepted. I thought all journals were this strict with their peer review process.

The review process took 9 months. It was probably because the subject matter was too niche and they couldn't find reviewers. After sending two reminder emails, they finally said that there was only one reviewer who recommended major revisions. After making the revisions and resubmitting, it took another month to be accepted. I thought it was going to be rejected, but I was relieved that it was accepted in the end.

Currently, from the submission experience, it can be seen that the journal is still very strict. In the first round of submissions, there were 4 reviewers: one suggested minor revisions, two suggested major revisions, and one rejected the submission. The editor-in-chief also rejected the submission but gave the opportunity to resubmit. After making revisions for about a month, the second submission was reviewed by 3 reviewers: one suggested acceptance, two suggested minor revisions, and the editor-in-chief suggested major revisions. After continuing to make major revisions for about half a month, the submission was accepted in the third round of submissions about 1 month later. The whole process lasted for more than 9 months, which was very lengthy.
