Some reviewers previously mentioned that Prof. Hendrik Heinz took a long time to handle the manuscript. Here, I would like to clarify that this delay was due to the fact that the ACS Publishing Center did not display "In Peer Review," instead showing "Under Consideration." The manuscript was rejected by ACS AMI on 0204, and the editor suggested submitting to Langmuir. The submission was made on the same day.

After being assigned to Prof. Hendrik Heinz on 0209, it remained "Under Consideration" until I found the aforementioned link on Xiaomucon, which allowed me to see that it was "In Peer Review."

The manuscript was rejected on 0226, with one major and one minor revision requested (the major revision was actually minor). The editor suggested resubmitting, which was done on 0324.

The manuscript received a Provisional Accept on 0405 and was officially accepted on 0409 after signing the publishing agreement.

It seems that the time from submission to the editor's evaluation was longer compared to other journals, approximately 7-10 days. However, the peer review process was actually quite fast. Overall, the process was relatively quick.

This journal is not very good, extremely slow. The editor is Yilin Wang, submitted on January 10, 2025, assigned to associate editor on January 18, received the first round of review comments on February 27, replied on March 4, and until today, April 9, there is still no news. I resubmitted last time, and one of the reviewers gave me minor revisions in the first round, then gave me major revisions in the second round. This person is really bad, wasting my time, while others have accepted it. Careless review, deceiving people. This journal is very, very slow, I would say it is the slowest journal. Update: This manuscript is already under review. After being assigned an editor, we received revision comments in about 4 weeks, with a 3-week timeline for revisions. The manuscript was quickly pre-accepted after submission, but required some formatting changes. The manuscript was accepted the same day after resubmission. Submission on December 24th, 2006;
Received an email from the responsible editor on December 31st, stating that Supporting Information was missing when the manuscript was uploaded. Sent an email to the responsible editor in response, but received another email the next day informing me that there was an issue with the format of the SI information (presumably the email got lost);
Received a rejection letter on January 2nd, with 2 major revisions and 1 rejection. All 3 reviewers indicated that the work was acceptable, but some issues needed to be addressed. The rejection suggested resubmitting after making revisions;
Resubmitted the revised manuscript on January 19th, with an 'x' added to the manuscript number suffix, and the editor remained the same as before;
Received feedback on February 20th, with reviewer 1 suggesting acceptance, reviewer 2 pointing out several minor formatting issues, and reviewer 3 providing 9 comments which were not difficult to address. The editor provided minor revision suggestions;
Resubmitted on February 26th;
Accepted on March 2nd.
