5.24 Paper submission
6.23 Paper rejection, two major revisions, one rejection. The rejection feedback was that the paper lacked innovation, with the reviewers listing 5 nonexistent references and claiming that my research had already been published by others. Additionally, they asked for a bunch of irrelevant data to be added. I appealed to the editor, and the appeal was successful. The editor requested responses to each of the reviewers' comments, and after making the revisions, the paper was resubmitted.

10.25 Received reviewer comments, one minor revision, one acceptance, one major revision. The major revision required adding a lot of additional testing, including costly tests like synchrotron radiation, XPS depth profiling, and refined XRD data. The editor gave a 21-day deadline for the revisions, but it was not enough time, so I requested a two-week extension.
