The process was quite fast, with the review comments coming back in about 2 months after submission. Both reviewers recommended revisions, which were accepted. The proofreading was also quick, and the editor was very thorough in correcting the formatting and references of the article.

I like the journal and have published in it a few times, I think it has quality articles. But I have had very mixed success with the review/editor process. Recently, I submitted an article in September. It went out to review quite fast but 4 months later still nothing, which is well above their average time. I've sent a message through the online system (noreply_EMsupport@elsevier.com)  to follow up and still heard nothing.

I encountered a very irresponsible editor. I submitted my article on August 7th, and it has been "with editor" for 20 days. I sent an email to urge them, and finally it was sent for review on August 28th. The editor only sent out 7 invitations on that day, and only 1 was accepted. Then a month passed, during which there was no progress. They did not send out new review invitations, and the person who accepted the invitation was clearly overdue, but they did not follow up. It is really frustrating.

Your luck is pretty good. I am speechless. One article was submitted here, and for some reason the editor invited 4 reviewers, 2 major revisions, 1 minor revision, and 1 rejection. Then the editor rejected it without giving a chance for major revisions; another article was also submitted here, with two major revisions, and after revisions, it was rejected. Yes, you read that right, it was rejected directly after major revisions, I am speechless. The review process for both articles took around 3 months, very slow.

Waited for three months, only to receive a rejection after an initial evaluation. I have seen low-quality journals, but this experience with this journal is the worst, I do not recommend submitting articles in a rush to this journal, as it could delay graduation. The editor in charge of the manuscript has a much slower response time compared to what we have seen on letpub. We will not be submitting to this journal in the future
