Hope this submission can be processed quickly. It is the 6th article during my doctoral period, nearing graduation. I originally wanted to publish in an open-access journal to find a job, but my advisor insisted on submitting to a prestigious journal. Although the journal has high industry recognition, the processing speed is extremely slow. I heard it could take up to one to two years. It is frustrating to be forced to submit to such a journal when I am about to graduate. Regardless of the reasons, this behavior is definitely not in the best interest of the students.
In conclusion, I hope this submission will be successful and accepted before graduation. If not, I will have very little hope of finding a good job. I also hope that other doctoral students can avoid encountering such advisors. It is really disheartening to be in this situation nearing graduation.
