The editor regularly invites new reviewers every week, a total of sixty-two reviewers were invited, but only four accepted the invitation. Two of them completed the review process. The two reviewers had conflicting opinions, one positive and one negative. The positive reviewer stated, "After the authors address the issues mentioned in the comments to the authors, this manuscript is acceptable for publication in Metabolism." The negative reviewer provided only four sentences, leading to suspicions of malicious rejection. After sending a letter of appeal, there was no response from the journal. Contact with ELSEVIER's editor also proved futile, so the manuscript was submitted to another journal.
