If you encounter this editor giving you a rejection Saswati Basu, Ph.D., but you feel that the reviewer's comments are strange and should not be a rejection, it is recommended to appeal. After reviewing a manuscript submitted by this editor, there were two major revisions and one minor revision. This editor's miraculous operation turned the comments of the two major revisions reviewers into rejection comments. Your comment is spot on. I also encountered hostility all the way as the editor. I invited 6 reviewers, all passed, but she said she didn't think it was good enough and asked me to resubmit. I ignored her and after making all the changes, all reviewers said accept. But she came up with many, many formatting suggestions, plus lack of innovation. She is truly very arrogant.
