A major revision in the middle and minor revisions at the end, taking nearly 1 year. It's still nice without OA, just the process is too long.

I am also this editor. The first time I wrote a letter, it was said to not meet the requirements, but it was requested to be revised. After the revision, all reviewers agreed to accept the editor's rejection. The letter stated that, as previously mentioned, it does not meet the journal's requirements and suggested submitting to two open access journals. Is it still necessary to appeal?

I submitted our manuscript to the journal on 20th DEC. 2025.  An editor had been assigned on 23th DEC.  However, it is still with editor till today (23th Jan. 2026) and the status does not change !
