It took only 10 days for the first review (the first day for formatting check, the manuscript was sent to the editor on the third day and reviewed on the same day, so the review process took only one week). 
Both reviewers provided revisions (each with 8 comments, indicating major revisions were needed). 
After one week of revisions, the manuscript was not sent for a second review and was accepted the next day. 
The editor's efficiency is incredible, not wasting a minute. 
The journal is reliable, with a data verification process in place. Uncropped original images for gel electrophoresis graphs need to be provided, otherwise the technical review will reject the submission.

I have been submitting for nearly half a year, previously to Elsevier journals. It was either a long time for the editor to reject or a long time for review before rejection. I kept submitting and getting rejected, and finally hesitated between MJ and MA. I saw comments saying that MJ was faster, so I submitted to MJ. However, after three months of no reviewer assigned, I couldn't wait any longer and requested to withdraw the submission. I submitted to MA on July 2nd, with editor on July 3rd, peer review on July 4th, revision requested on July 15th, revision received on July 29th, and submission accepted on July 31st.
