This fragmented, templated, and lacking in scientific judgment post-acceptance review mode strongly suggests that the editorial department is using AI tools to replace professional manual review.

I completely agree, I advise everyone not to submit. It wasted a whole year of my time. First, they asked for revisions, then repeatedly made changes based on external reviews. After finally accepting it temporarily, the editor kept asking for a bunch of additional things to be added. Today they wanted a few things added, tomorrow they wanted a few more. It seemed like they were deliberately looking for issues to ultimately reject your submission. I refused to give up and added whatever they asked for, but this tug-of-war lasted for 3 months, and in the end, I still lost. The final email was very simple, stating that the ethics did not meet the requirements, and the submission was rejected. Anyone would go crazy, right? Listen to advice from others in the future.

Research direction: Internal Medicine Review. Submitted for technical review on August 11, took about a week. Revised formatting and resubmitted on August 20. Received feedback from three reviewers on October 20, which required significant revisions, including language polishing. After reading some comments and combining my own experience, I would like to provide some advice for students planning to submit to journals after 2025: First, journals under Spondidos Publishing will conduct a preliminary check before submission (format, plagiarism, etc.), so there will be a fixed 1-2 week period before review. Second, the review process (including revisions) can take 2-6 months, so it is not very fast. Third, original data will not be required for initial submission, but will be requested later on. For animal experiments, ethical documentation must be provided, including application and approval documents (with no errors in timing). Fourth, if your language skills are not strong, you may be asked to revise your submission. This publishing house offers language services for a fee. While the MMR review process may not require high levels of content innovation, the entire process is very strict and requires careful preparation.

The most garbage magazine, no one should ever choose Molecular Medicine Reports. We submitted on 10th August 2024, after 25 days it showed as Under review, then reminded twice, each time the response was "under external review", until it came back for revision in January 2025, with two reviewers, both minor revisions, very positive comments. However, the editor requested polishing at the company, we chose to do additional experiments for polishing (1500 yuan), a month later we resubmitted, reviewers had no comments, editor asked a lot of questions about animal experiments, and requested original documents for animal ethics approval (native language) and unit approval, we provided all and all were qualified. Two days later it was directly rejected, saying our animal experiments may not comply with ethical standards, we carefully checked all animal experiment data and method descriptions, all following NIH standards. We argued but never received any response. Permanently blacklisted.
