A moderately sized paper was submitted to this journal, and it was reviewed by two reviewers. The first reviewer's comments were received after about a month and a half, and both reviewers were very professional. One reviewer had a question about the article and asked for clarification three times. After making significant revisions based on the reviewer's suggestions and following the journal's guidelines, the reviewer was satisfied. The whole process took about six months. After the revisions, it was decided that the paper should be submitted to a journal in the second quartile.

Despite the low impact factor of this journal, it is well respected in the field of physical chemistry. Traditional physical chemistry journals that do not focus on hot topics also do not have high impact factors. Even a PhD in physics from our group only managed to publish in a journal with a moderate impact factor.

Don't be fooled by the low impact factor, they are still recognized within the industry, and the peer review process is usually rigorous. From the perspective of international counterparts, Molecular Physics is not as prestigious as top journals like JCP, PRA/B, but it is still acceptable and publishing in it occasionally will not harm your reputation.
