Just to report to you all: the first review took seven or eight months, and the second review was sent back for revision by the associate editor and stayed in the office for four months without being sent for review. Furthermore, when inquiring, we were told that the first round of reviewers did not accept revised manuscripts for review; the associate editor found new reviewers for evaluation. In total, we went through four rounds with four reviewers, from initial submission to final acceptance, taking a total of 18 months. The application was submitted in early April 24 years ago, the first instance lasted for seven to eight months, and was returned for revision in December.
