This is my submission experience to a journal under IOP Publishing, and it is also the highest impact factor SCI paper I have published so far. Combining my research focus (theoretical physics) with the actual submission process, I would like to share some insights in the hope of providing some reference for students with similar research backgrounds. From my overall impression, journals under IOP have relatively strict requirements for theoretical derivations. Especially in papers involving analytical derivations, reviewers often conduct detailed checks on key steps. Although this characteristic may increase the difficulty of publication to some extent, it also helps to ensure the academic quality of the paper.

Based on this experience, I have several suggestions as follows:
- For work with a lot of theoretical derivation, special attention should be paid to the rigor and testability of the derivation process.
- When submitting for the first time, consider the strategy of "trying journals in the same system step by step."
- Taking reviewer comments seriously often significantly improves the quality of the paper and the chances of acceptance.

These are my submission and publication experiences on Phys. Scr. I hope that sharing these can provide some reference and help for researchers who are currently submitting or preparing to submit.

I initially submitted the manuscript to the Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical. Approximately one week later, the editor suggested that the work would be more suitable for publication in Physica Scripta (Phys. Scr.) and recommended transferring it. Following this suggestion, we directly completed the transfer on January 14, 2025.

The review process after the transfer can be described as quite efficient. About 10 days later (January 26), we received review comments: two reviewers provided suggestions for "major revisions" and "minor revisions" respectively. Overall, the review comments were professional and constructive, greatly helping to improve the quality of the paper. We carefully replied to each comment and systematically optimized the structure and expression of the article, a process that lasted for about half a month. The revised manuscript was submitted on February 17, and a week later (February 24), we received acceptance notification. The proofreading was completed on March 2, 2026, and the paper was officially published on March 17. Overall, my experience with this submission was very positive: the journal's review process was efficient and standardized, the editor's communication was clear and precise, and the review comments were professional and valuable. The transfer mechanism was particularly friendly, allowing the manuscript to be matched with a suitable journal platform more quickly.
