PHYSICS OF FLUIDS used to hold a high position in my mind, but since a pseudo-scientific article in my field was recently published, I have serious doubts about the journal's quality. The paper even received comments from the founder of our field, as seen in the last sentence of this webpage: https://pubs.aip.org/aip/pof/article/37/10/109101/3368360. "We have reviewed recent papers on geophysical fluid dynamics published in Physics of Fluids ¹⁸⁻²⁸, and have not seen any like reference Y25, which both abandons classical physics theories and lacks mathematical modeling. Given the numerous issues with this article, we hope readers do not consider Y25 as a significant challenge to tidal theory."
