I sent an email to the editor inquiring about the status of the manuscript, and in less than a week, the system changed to "making decision." I thought I had annoyed the editor and the manuscript would be rejected. After just over a day of "making decision," I received an email of acceptance.

It is obvious that your manuscript has been forgotten. Contact the editor who provided you with the first round of comments and search for their personal work email. Politely ask for feedback, including your manuscript number, and you should receive a response. Sending an email directly through the system will not be effective.
