The editor replied: In light of the appropriateness of your manuscript for our journal, your manuscript has been denied publication in Process Safety Progress. (In view of the inappropriate content of the article, the manuscript was rejected in the first review.) Our Journal is presently "over-subscribed" with many qualified manuscripts. The earliest publication in our hard copy is approximately 1 year from now. I recommend submitting to another journal in the field. (The number of submissions is too large, and it takes at least 1 year from acceptance to publication.) It is implied that there are many internally accepted manuscripts in this journal.
