It took seven months, and the reviewers were very meticulous, spending nearly half a year reviewing and revising. The first review took two months, with six drafts being revised back and forth. There was plenty of time to give it a try.

Overall, there is a high demand for innovation. Based on the submission number, it can be seen that there are approximately 1600 submissions per year, but only around 300 papers are published each year in recent years, with a success rate of about 20%. It is quite challenging. We hope to return to the top tier as soon as possible!

After three rounds of major revision, minor revision, and minor revision in turn, during the third minor revision, only one reviewer pointed out a misspelling of an author's name in a reference in the article. The revision was made on the same day, but today, a week later, the status has changed back to "reviewers invited." I really want to curse! I have noticed that the articles recently accepted by this journal usually take around three months to process, and some even take only two months. However, the editor handling my manuscript seems to be dragging it out indefinitely. I am speechless.

Doing things related to coatings is very innovative. However, because I am a non-affiliated person, mainstream journals do not review my submissions. Finally, I submitted it here, with two reviewers and two minor revisions, the work was highly recognized. I hope the journal will continue to improve.
