Update on June 10th: Submitted a withdrawal letter in the afternoon, and it was approved in less than an hour... so decisive, after hanging on for over a month... After over a month of no response or rejection, I contacted Esweil customer service three times with no success. I then reached out to the editor-in-charge of the submission, Ivan Petrovic, via email to confirm the status, but still no response. Dealing with such an irresponsible editor is simply unlucky, and even more frustrating than a rejection. It is not sustainable to continue like this, so I am preparing to withdraw my submission in the next couple of days. Please think carefully before submitting to this journal.
