Submitting to journals is easy, but the process is really slow. I submitted on July 7th, was asked to make a revision and resubmit on July 14th, resubmitted on July 17th, and didn't receive reviewer comments until November 3rd. I sent a reminder after a month of waiting and was told it was still under review. After three more months of waiting and not receiving any response to my emails, I finally received an acceptance on November 15th. If you're not in a rush, you can submit, but graduating students should be very cautious.
