The review process is really slow. I submitted the paper on August 3rd and invited 4 reviewers initially, but none of them agreed to review. Two months later, I invited another 4 reviewers, and only one accepted. Currently, the opinions have been returned, but I am not sure if I need to invite new reviewers. It will be four months in two days, and the waiting is agonizing. I am afraid that such a long delay may result in a direct rejection, which would be even more unfortunate.
