The submission was made in July, and it was accepted by the end of December. It took more than 5 months, going through two major revisions, one minor revision, and two new reviewers in the second round of reviews. There were also comments from the editor-in-chief and guest editors. It must be said that the journal is very professional and worthy of its top position in soil science. It was noticed that the editor-in-chief usually sends emails on Sunday evenings, perhaps accustomed to working on editorial tasks over the weekend. I have submitted a few times before, but they were all rejected without review. Finally, one has been accepted.

I think SBB is a bit better than Geoderma and BFS, but they are all in the same tier. The ones ranked after are also decent. I haven't invested in a few of them, so I can't comment on those.
