It took nearly three months to go through major revision, minor revision, and acceptance. The first-round expert in major revision provided a lot of opinions and suggestions, more like helping you clarify and improve the readability of the entire article. Received today. Submitted on July 15, 2025, went through resubmission, R1, R2, R3, R4, and finally accepted on September 3, 2026, taking 14 months. This journal feels slow for the following reasons:

(1) The editorial staff only processes submissions once a month, so if it misses the processing time for the current month, you have to wait until the next month. This means it takes almost a month for your submission to reach the editor's desk after you submit it.

(2) There are three levels of review: Editor-in-Chief (EE), Associate Editor (AE), and Reviewer (TE), with typically 2-3 reviewers. In my initial submission, there were three reviewers (TE), with the first two suggesting minor revisions and the last one suggesting major revisions, leading to a direct resubmission. After resubmitting, it was evident that the reviewers had changed to 2 TE.

(3) The editor will unconditionally follow the opinions of the reviewers (TE), and the paper will only be accepted if all reviewers have no issues. As a result, significant revisions were made after R1 and R2, with R3 and R4 focusing on minor issues or difficult questions that the reviewers kept pointing out, and the editor would not accept the paper promptly.

Additionally, the journal has significant administrative authority, as the administrator can grant a one-month extension if the deadline for revisions is approaching.

The journal has a good reputation, but its impact factor is quite low. If submitting, it is advisable to allow for at least a year for the process. Screenshots of the submission process timeline are available.
