From January to March 2025, including the winter vacation, the paper was revised several times, almost completely rewritten. I consulted with the teacher for several hours every week, and even worked online with the supervisor to make revisions on New Year's Eve. When school started in March, the supervisor felt uncertain and sought advice from a senior colleague.

In March 2025, I made a sprint for the Qing Foundation project... but once again, I had to delay. It was truly the right decision to postpone for another year!

By the end of March 2025, the senior colleague proposed a lot of improvements, so I had to continue making changes.

In May 2025, finally, with the consent of all authors, holding a reply letter of over 160 pages and 98% of red documentations, I resubmitted for revision.

In November 2025, feedback came back with 2 minor revisions and an acceptance. I resubmitted a week later.

On November 15, 2025, we awaited the decision of the chief editor...

On November 18, 2025, it was accepted.

So, what everyone finally saw was a paper submitted in May 2025 and accepted in November, but in reality, it was a paper submitted in September 2023.

The quality of the journal is not to be said, it is indeed quite slow, but because of rejection and resubmission, it seems faster for everyone. Here is a realistic timeline for reference (with graduation interspersed timeline):

September or October 2023 submitted (it's been so long, I've forgotten when)
June 2024 received feedback, rejected and resubmitted, three major revisions, a total of 37 comments (10 pages of PDF in total), calculations need to be changed, algorithms need to be changed, everything needs to be changed, etc.

By the end of August 2024, the revision deadline is approaching, as I haven't made many changes due to preparing for my thesis, it will definitely need an extension for revision. I cried to my supervisor several times, and in this situation, it is definitely impossible to submit the major thesis for review. So I decided to go through the graduation process and have a pre-defense first, which turned out to be an extremely correct decision.

In September 2024, I initially planned to apply for a 3-month extension, but my supervisor suggested applying for a 9-month extension (a total of 1 year), which I thought was absurd at the time. But since I was graduating, I thought it didn't matter what my supervisor decided. However, it turned out to be another correct decision.

On October 10, 2024, the major thesis was submitted for review, and on October 26, it was accepted. In November 2024, I completed the first round of revisions, but my supervisor was not satisfied and wanted more changes. However, I decided to focus on preparing for my defense first.

On December 31, 2024, I received my doctoral degree.
