The initial review involved major revisions, including modifications to the abstract and open-source code, as well as referencing several recent related models from the journal as supplementary experiments. However, after over three weeks of submission, it was deemed that the research did not align with the journal's content and were advised to submit it to another journal. It was not mentioned during the initial review that the research did not meet the journal's requirements, especially since the models from the journal were used for comparison and supplementary experiments. This is the first time experiencing rejection in this manner.

As of June 21, 2026, it has been three months since I received the reviewer comments on my manuscript, but the handling editor has not made a decision yet. During this time, I have written to the editorial office, the editor-in-chief, and the publisher, but most of them have read my emails without replying. Customer service has also helped to urge the handling editor, but after nearly two months, there has been no progress, and the response from customer service is just "we can only wait for the editor to reply." Overall, the experience has been very poor, and it feels like the editorial office is very procrastinating. I am hesitant to submit to them again.
