Submitted on 27 Nov 2024, accepted on 19 Mar 2025. After a few days of review, one reviewer completed the review but a new reviewer could not be found for some time. Two reminders were sent in between, with the editor being very cooperative. After both reviewers completed their reviews, minor revisions were made and returned within two days. However, there were some formatting issues which were corrected and resubmitted one week later. The paper was accepted directly by the editor five days later, without the need for a second round of review. The editor was very accommodating and the whole process took less than four months, resulting in a perfect acceptance.

Posted on April 23rd, it took more than twenty days in the editor's hands before being sent for review. 
On July 5th, the review comments were received. 
On July 17th, the revised manuscript was submitted. 
On September 7th, the second review comments were received, with minor revisions required. 
On September 8th, the revised manuscript was submitted. 
On September 9th, it was accepted.

I have submitted to many journals, and this is the first time I can't help but comment.
It's really terrible!
Firstly, it's slow! There has been no news for about four or five months.
After waiting for almost 5 months, it got rejected. The rejection letter only had one sentence: "The reviewer's comments do not recommend publication."
I even sent an email specifically requesting the reviewer's comments so that I could make improvements based on them.
No one responded. I even suspect if it was actually under review or if the editor just made it up.
I will never submit to this garbage journal again. It's just a waste of time.

5.20: submission; 9.14: major revision required (14 days). A total of two reviewers, one reviewer almost raised all language problems, and the other one raised two professional questions; 9.28: revised submission; 11.26: Minor revision required. There was one reviewer, the main problem he raised was about language, asking us to modify the title of the paper and the usage of abbreviations in the paper; 11.30: Revised submission; 12.10: 8:40 in the evening, the email notifying the acceptance was received. The whole process lasted for more than 6 months, which was not short, but the reviewers and editors were very serious, and every grammatical error could be pointed out. A very pleasant submission experience!

Welding in the World publishes a range of topics in the field of welding. I attended the IIW International Conference and presented at one of its sessions, and then my paper was recommended to Welding in the World. The next step was the normal submission process: uploaded the manuscript online, with the main text and the figures uploaded separately; I was asked to revise the paper after 2 months; after revision it was published by Springer. The speed of review and publication is acceptable.
