It took more than 4 months, with a review period of over 50 days. In less than 2 months after major revisions, the manuscript was accepted after the second review. Overall, things went well. The initial allocation and format review took about 10 days, and the handling speed by the chief editor was fast afterwards. However, finding reviewers and the review process were somewhat rocky, with reviewers being busy and not accepting or not having available reviewers being common issues. Eventually, two reviewers were found, one with few questions and one with more questions. After the major revisions were made, including additional experiments, the second reviewer found no major issues. The journal is good, interdisciplinary, and pharmacology related to food can also be submitted, with a good amount of citations in this area. The impact factor is expected to increase in the long term. The publication fee is reasonable. Lastly, thanks to the accommodating chief editor and reviewers.
