It's not about a special channel, I feel it's related to innovation. My article was selected as editor's recommendation, and the process was very fast. I submitted it on March 24, and the first review was completed on May 19, with major revisions requested. I revised it in about a week, and it was accepted for a second review on June 2. It was published soon after. At that time, the impact factor of this journal was still 3.8.
