After more than a year of waiting, I was finally hired. The editing process was very slow, with some stages outsourced to India. Additionally, there were delays in receiving feedback on revisions, causing a two-month delay. Overall, half of the time was wasted. The review process was also peculiar, with three reviewers indicating acceptance, yet the editor invited new reviewers twice, seemingly endlessly. Eventually, the appeal to the chief editor led to acceptance. The articles accepted by the journal are of good quality, although there are fewer in quantity. The impact factor is not manipulated by survey articles. Although it is in cheminformatics, there are still many articles related to bioinformatics, which are stronger than those in Bioinformatics, BIB, and JCIM.

Surprisingly, there is only one journal containing the name "Cheminformatics" when searching for SCI journals. The articles published in this journal are quite lengthy, requiring a lot of preparation work. From data to foundational work, everything needs to be solid. I have only submitted an article once, but it was directly rejected by the editor-in-chief because it didn't align well with the journal's content.
