The editorial processing and review speed were very fast and efficient, with a previous rejection also being quick. After getting familiar with the submission system once, I found it very convenient, as there was no need for standard paper formatting and raw data submission for initial review like some traditional journals, somewhat similar to Elsevier's "Your paper your way" model. Only after acceptance, the paper needed to be formatted according to the journal's requirements and all original Western blot membranes and assembled photo images needed to be uploaded. Overall, it was a really good experience, in stark contrast to my previous submission to JAR.
