Hello, I have also submitted to this journal. Now that it is under major revisions, may I ask how new reviewers are invited after the revisions instead of sending it back to the original reviewers? Thank you!

It took a total of 16 months from submission to acceptance. At first, we couldn't find any reviewers, and after the first round of reviews, we had to invite new reviewers for another round. After making revisions, we had to invite new reviewers again. It was quite frustrating, and we almost fell into an endless cycle. I won't submit again.

We submitted our article in July 2024 and received a rejection in December 2024 along with two reasonable reviews. The Editor encouraged us to revise and resubmit, which we did on January 24, 2025. The status changed to "With Editor" on February 10 and remained as such until May 20, when it suddenly changed to “DIP” and was rejected with a vague one-line reason. The process lacked transparency and professionalism, and we no longer view this journal as a viable option.

Submitted in October of the 24th year, it wasn't reviewed until January of the 25th year, and was rejected in May. There weren't any major issues with the reviews from the two reviewers, but the editor rejected it directly. I won't be submitting to this journal again in the future.

It's really slow. Submitted on January 15th, we received a request for revisions on January 27th. Around April 5th, we reminded the journal twice but only received apologies. The status was still "we" on April 23rd, and then on April 28th, the first author sent a withdrawal letter (which was unsuccessful) before inviting reviewers. However, we could only contact the responsible person at Elsevier directly, causing delays in communication with the specific editor. This resulted in the withdrawal letter from the corresponding author only being seen by the editor when it was time for submission, leading to the withdrawal of the manuscript.

It took 22 months from submission to rejection, because the editor could not find enough reviewers and ended up reviewing the manuscript themselves. The reviewer raised some issues with the content and authorship in the first two rounds, and then rejected the manuscript in the final round citing lack of innovation. Moreover, the feedback provided in the last round seemed like the reviewer did not read the paper carefully. Each round of review took almost six months to start, and only yielded results after reminders. Several requests to retract the submission from Elsevier were denied. It is really frustrating why they dragged the process for so long and rejected the manuscript with insufficient reasons.
