I am a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine. I submitted a systematic review on February 14, 2026, and waited for nearly a month before finding an editor to handle it. After contacting 12 reviewers, only two agreed to review the paper. The review process started on April 1, with one reviewer suggesting major revisions and the other suggesting minor revisions. I was given 14 days to make the revisions and submitted the revised paper on the evening of April 14. The next day, the reviewer with minor revisions accepted the paper, and six days later, on April 20 at noon, the reviewer with major revisions also accepted it. The editor agreed to accept the paper in the afternoon, and steps five, six, and seven were completed in one go. That evening at 23:55, I received an acceptance email. I don't need the original raw data in the true sense. I have some experimental data and 46 sets of simulated data. I listed the results in a table in the supplementary materials and that's all. They have accepted the paper and I have paid the fee without them asking for the original data files. It was really slow, though. I submitted in mid-May and it wasn't officially accepted until early November. But the editor is very easy to talk to and professional, so overall it's not bad.

Submitted at the beginning of the year, the reviewers requested revisions. There were a total of four reviewers, and their reviews were very thorough and constructive. I learned a lot from their feedback over the course of 14 months of revisions. Unfortunately, the paper was ultimately rejected, but it was improved based on the reviewers' comments. I believe it should do well in other submissions. I plan to submit it to IEEE ACCESS next
