The classic journal of human geography seems to have been upgraded to the TOP level for the latest issue. I just had an article published there recently. My submission experience is as follows: the manuscript was sent for review the day after submission, the review process took about a month and a half, and if the opinions of two reviewers are received, it will wait for the opinion of a third reviewer. Some suggestions were quite similar, but they helped improve the overall quality of the article. The revised version was given a month for resubmission, and the decision was made on the same day that the opinions of the last two reviewers reached the RRC status. Dr. Wei is very efficient in handling submissions, as changes in the system status are generally processed within a day or two.

I have submitted to this journal before, and it went smoothly at the time. It was reviewed in a week, and after over a month, I received feedback. After revisions, it was accepted. However, I believe this submission experience was an exception. From the past to now, I have heard many friends in the geography field complain about submitting for 4-5 months with no response from the editor, and when they inquire via email, they are directly rejected. This is such an arrogant attitude! I hope the editors of this journal realize that good authors and good works are needed for a journal to be good. Otherwise, if people do not support it, the journal is nothing.

However, this method has been used in 25 years of LANDUP and previously in CITIES, SCS. This reviewer is complete garbage! The editor didn't even give a chance to argue.
