After submission, there is no status displayed, no "with editor," "under review," or "decision in press" process status bar, so you can't see at which step it is. The official website shows 2-5 weeks, but after one month of submission with no response, we had to send a reminder. A week later, a decision was made, with minor revisions required for four small issues, mostly related to the text content rather than professional issues. The revisions were submitted the next day. Two weeks later, a decision was made to accept the paper. The whole process took more than 7 weeks.

The journal has an impact factor of 1.7, Q4, but the fees are quite outrageous. There is a mandatory fee of $100 per page (our paper was 12 pages, totaling $1200). Color printing is an additional $100 per page, and choosing open access (OA) is an additional $3700. It feels like a predatory journal. If possible, it is recommended not to submit to this journal. Traditional subscription-based journals usually do not charge page fees. This journal charges for each page published (mandatory), color printing, and OA (optional), making it not cost-effective. The whole process took longer than expected, causing delays in student graduation. The official website mentioned that a paper may be accepted within a month, but in our case, it took around 2 months. Including the proofreading process (which took over a week) and typesetting, it took two and a half months before the paper was even available online. The publishing process was also slow after the paper was accepted.
