There will be rejection or revision replies in about 20 to 30 days. Classmate one received major revisions advice 20 days after submitting the manuscript, while classmate two received a rejection notice one month later. Generally, each reply takes about a month, and it took almost 2 months to receive feedback after the second round of revisions.

The submission was made on December 3rd and a manuscript number was provided on the same day. It has now been assigned an editor, but 20 days have passed and it is still in the "Pending Editor Assignment" status, and has not been sent for external review.

Revised and resubmitted in November
Rejected in December, went through two more rounds of review, received four comments, two major revisions and two rejections (suspected that the two reviewers from the first rejection were included in the second submission, but still rejected)
Overall, the review process was very fast, the comments were very insightful, but the requirements were very strict. It was a valuable learning experience.

On the 28th, it was assigned to the chief editor and is currently marked as "under review". It's unclear what will happen next.
