This reviewer from Japan is really slow, and after citing his article, I found that their work mainly focuses on characterization methods research, while mine is on thermal catalysis. Therefore, I spent a lot of effort modifying the characterization according to his suggestions, but deep down I do not agree with it, feeling like he is an expert in just one field, seeing everything as a nail with a hammer. Despite this, I also hope that ACS Catalysis will have more top researchers submitting articles. Currently, many articles focus on advanced characterization rather than in-depth mechanistic analysis, some of which are misleading. I believe this is partly due to the reviewers' requirements, which decrease the readability of the articles and focus too much on characterization, affecting the journal's reputation.
